Valentines Lollies

I've been wanting to make this particular treat for years, but it requires candy canes. I never remembered to keep candy canes! Holiday candy is usually either sent to work with David, or thrown out a couple of weeks after the holidays. This year, I remembered! Miracles do happen!

All you need for these tasty treats is mini candy canes, lollipop sticks, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles of some kind.

They are supposed to be made with red/white striped peppermint candy canes, but something told me that the ones I had, weren't exactly going to make the best heart shape.

So we went with Cherry flavored. They don't match the Valentine colors, but Cherry tastes better anyways. Right?

Preheat your oven to 225 degrees. Line a pan with parchment paper.

Take 2 candy canes and arrange them in a heart shape. I started with a pan of 6 and discovered that wasn't going to work for putting the sticks in so I stuck to 3 hearts at a time.

Pop them in the oven for 5-10 min depending on your oven. You don't want them melted, but you want them pliable enough that you can pinch them together and they will stick.

When you pull them out quickly insert the sticks into the bottom of the heart and pinch it together. Then pinch the top of the heart together as well. If they harden before you can pinch them, throw them back in the oven for another minute or 2.

Once you have the hearts made it's time to eat melt some chocolate. We made about a dozen lollies all together and we used maybe 1/2 a cup of White chips. It doesn't take much.

Spoon chocolate into the inside of the hearts and decorate with sprinkles!

Once they harden you have an adorable little heart shaped Lollipop!
You can either eat all of them to yourself or save them to give to all your Valentine loves.

Corbin wanted to eat them all. We compromised. I let him have one and we saved the others for everyone else for Valentines Day.

So there you have it! Super quick, super cute and super tasty!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. These are so cute. I made larger ones last year and hung them as a garland. I am totally buying the smaller ones for lollipops next year. Thanks for the inspiration and I am following you back. Rhonda
